Marie Jo Lingerie Autumn/Winter 2009-2010

December 20, 2009 by Mandolina

Every season I try to show you Marie Jo‘s latest collection – but this winter, they seem to have gone below my radar a bit. When I received these photos from TLP-reader Evelien from The Netherlands earlier today – I rushed to make this quick post…

A touch of retro, with luxurious and cheerful designs: that’s how you get to know Alice!
A strinkingly light looking harmonious range… A treat for any woman who is looking for a special set or bustier!
Anaïs is a born seductress. This range with its abundance of Leavers lace plays the game of concealing and revealing like no other…
Purple Anais bra…
Artfully draped whisper-soft tulle…in the bustier or the strapless bra with luxury string and suspender belt. An instant feeling of luxury!
Avero set in Purple…
Countless numbers of women know why they have chosen this wonderful fit and sparkling floral embroidery. Each season it’s exciting to look out for the latest fashion colours!
Ines really knows what the modern woman is looking for. The range is a highly successful cocktail of timeless class and contemporary design…
The luxurious design of flowers and pearls gains an extra dimension in this winter colour: wengé. This Jane brings a touch of sensual warmth during autumn!
Mary bra and panty set in black…
Mary bra and panty set in white…
Mary winks from saucy tattooed tulle, while embroidery as fine as eyelashes peeps out from under sensual cups… this in strong colours; smart in Natural and Black, risqué in Scarlet!

Hopeless’ The Voyage 2010 Lingerie

December 19, 2009 by Mandolina

Hopeless is a beautiful small Australian hand-made lingerie label operating from Etsy. We’ve actually interviewed Gabrielle Adamidis, the Hopeless Designer in February – and we’ve been awaiting a full new collection like this one quite a while.

A gorgeous Naval-inspired silk lingerie collection. All hand-made, all extremely decadent… We asked Gabrielle about her inspiration:

“…the third Hopeless range entitled “The Voyage” – based on Steven Spielberg’s Jaws. Taking inspiration from the sharks teeth, the blood in the ocean and the waves of the sea. Basically I spent a lot of time looking at stills from the film, and got inspiration from unlikely places. I feel the best way to make something new is to look in unexpected places, and there are so many ways to interpret that information. Always in my mind as well is creating flattering shapes, for a range of different figures. This is something I am really trying to master in my fitting and pattern-making. I want there to be something in each of my collections for every type of body shape. I want to try and make every woman believe she is beautiful, and pretty silk things can help!”

New Luxury Lingerie & Loungewear e-Boutique: Tashi

It’s not the easiest time for entrepreneurs to start a new venture – but we love it when new online lingerie boutiques open their virtual doors; and we love it even more when they have some of our favorite labels available. OnGossamer, CLO Intimates, Eberjey & Huit all have a new home at Tashi Lingerie & Loungewear – launched just a couple of weeks ago by Natalie Steiner. We decided to have a little sit-down with the boutique owner and talk about her new venture.

Why did you decide to open a lingerie boutique on the web?

Globally, women are passionate about lingerie. My desire was to reach as many lingerie lovers like myself as I possibly could! It’s amazing how a beautifully designed website can captivate the essence of a live boutique. It also allows me to work on a possible Tashi Lingerie line of my own.

What makes Tashi special?

Tashi is about exuding your inner essence. Its about dressing up your assets for YOU and giving yourself a gift. All the pieces that have been handpicked are meant to be used as a tool to tailor to your mood. How do you feel? Who do you want to be?

How did you go about selecting brands for your boutique?

I went with the brands that I was drawn to. I like unique pieces that have texture and detail and that make women feel comfortable. The brands I carry I feel have a natural organic blend to a woman’s femininity.

What are your own favorite pieces from the store?

There are so many! Women have so many layers it depends upon the mood we are in! I’m in love with Huit’s Mesh Amoureuse bra set with either the matching thong or the brief. It’s such an elegant, yet sexy set; not to mention extremely comfortable. Clo’s Fortuna camisole set in Violette is also one of my favorites and fits like a glove. Clo’s color palette is luscious!

We’re very much looking forward to seeing Tashi add more pieces and labels in the future – and will obviously keep you posted of great new stuff regarding the boutique. Obviously TLP wouldn’t be TLP if we didn’t secure an extra discount for our members. Use coupon code “LGZ96090” at checkout for 10% off your order (coupon valid until Christmas).

Christies Lingerie Fall/Winter 2009-2010

December 13, 2009 by Mandolina

I usually give you an update with Christies‘ and Naory‘s collections before each season (as I’m a big fan; and usually can’t wait to see new ranges), but for some reason this season never made it to TLP up until now.

The good thing is though – there’s still plenty of time to go shopping. This Christies lingerie line is yet another beautiful collection; but more sober and down-to-earth than last season (but maybe missing the amazing floral details on some of last year’s winter pieces). I’m absolutely in love with the whole collection, and the jaw-dropping bodysuit in particular. Prices for a set are around €180 ($260), but as usual they’re very worth it.

Enjoy these beautiful photos thanks to ChristiesLingerie.it – more are on the site!

Pudding Gets in the Festive Spirit With a Burlesque Fashion Show

December 13, 2009 by Mandolina

Pudding, the luxury lingerie salon based in The Walk (Reading, UK), got the Christmas party season off to a sensational start with a burlesque themed fashion show and cabaret evening last Saturday, December 5th.

Since Pudding opened just over two years ago, its winter fashion show has been increasingly popular – so much so, that this year’s event was moved to a bigger venue and the Pudding team joined forces with top London cabaret legend The Marquis of Gray, to provide their customers with a glamorous evening of music, magic, cocktails and, of course, gorgeous lingerie!

Pudding Burlesque Show

Owner Helen Masters said, “Last year’s fashion show was so popular that we had to turn people away, so this year we decided to go bigger and better than ever before. We sponsored the Bohemia Cabaret in the summer and our customers loved it, so it was a great opportunity to join forces with the Marquis of Gray again for a really fun night’s entertainment”

The 100+ guests were encouraged to dress to impress, with burlesque style corsets being de rigeur  – luckily Pudding provides a fabulous selection of customisable corsets (you choose the colour Pudding Show: Corsetand the fabric) so the audience had no excuse not to be well dressed!

The fashion show, featuring four Reading based models, showed a range of styles from top designers such as Pleasure State, La Perla and Lise Charmel on display, as well as the corsets themselves, by premium corsetiers Vollers. The timing was also ideal for anyone hoping to get some Christmas Present ideas . The models sported a stunning Dita Von Teese inspired look, courtesy of local hair and make-up artists Natalie Parratt and Steve and Ellie from Essensuals in Guildford.

As Helen said, “Our gift list service is very popular and people in the past have used the fashion show as an opportunity to spot their favourite styles and give someone a hint for Christmas. As we keep our customers sizes and preferences on record, all anyone interested in buying a gift needs to do is pop in, say their partner’s name and we can do the rest! We can even drop a hint on behalf of our female customers so they make sure they get their favourite wish list item as we also offer a Christmas Gift Hint service by text message!”

Anyone who didn’t make the show, can see the stunning Pudding range online at www.puddinglingerie.com or in the salon which is open Mon-Sat 10- 6 pm with an early opening of 9.30 on Saturday and a late closing of 8pm on Thursday – plus to help shoppers beat the Christmas rush, Pudding will be open every Sunday in December in the run up to Christmas from 11am-5pm and will be offering bubbly and mince pies every Thursday night until 8pm to relieve Christmas shopping stresses!
