We’ve had Etam Lingerie photo sets on TLP before – but the gorgeous Brazilian Daniela Freitas is all new to us.

The lingerie actually looks great, and with Etam prices – I’m actually planning to get a whole bunch of these… I love the black body with what looks like sheer/lace detailing and the beautiful black high-waist set too… Very interesting!

Daniela is also modeling the Etam Ready-To-Wear collection this season (link) – but obviously that’s not as relevant to us. 🙂

On the Lookout: Sophie Malagola

Sophie Malagola is one of the hidden forces in lingerie. She has an eponymous brand, but she also lends her talents to many other brands. After graduating, she worked at French power house Chantal Thomass. She has since designed collections for La Redoute, Daniel Hechter, Plein Sud Sun, DIM, Lejaby, Etam, Crazy Horse, and Le Chat.

Malagola may be best known for her Boheme Crystal bra. More jewelry than lingerie (it is delivered in a jewelry box), someone bold could wear this bra by itself, someone even bolder could leave their boudoir wearing nothing but this bra. Otherwise, it may have to be worn with a black top.


It is available for special order from Ma Cherie d’Amour. It is $2,550.00.

Malagola began her own collections in 2002. The collection uses a lot of triangle bras and something like a boy short crossed with a culotte and string.

Sophie has been relatively quiet since 2006. The website hasn’t been updated for more than eighteen months. and there isn’t much news about Sophie on the Internet. TLP hopes she is still designing and collaborating. Add a comment if you know more about her whereabouts.

Etam Maternity Collection

Etam is a French online superstore. If you are familiar with Cazar in Germany, Etam is like the discount version with house labels and cheap pricing. Etam’s site is available only in French. They ship to most French speaking countries (that doesn’t include the US) and really covers most of Europe including the UK.

Recently, Etam started The Baby Project which is a line of maternity clothes. Blending tanks, yoga pants, and sassy knee highs, the Etam collection is delightful in plum, eggplant, and lavender colours. Prices range from 12 € to 45 € for the various pieces. The picture shows most of the offering from Etam excluding some mom briefs and maternity bras.
