I discovered Irely by Sairey G after meeting the brand’s President and Founder, Sairey G herself, at a lingerie professionals meet up back in February and am so excited to finally tell you about this up-and-coming panty brand that recognizes that every woman has a secret side!

The name Irely represents the blending of Sairey’s family’s two countries of ancestry – Ireland and Italy. Just one facet of the unique story behind this brand which produces panties available in boyshort, thong, and hipster styles in sizes S-XL. New Knockout Collection from Made by Niki

Today we’re going to show you Made by Niki‘s newest collection: Knockout. This new collection is designed with busy, active women in mind. As far as I can tell it isn’t strict “sportswear” (the bras aren’t labeled as sports bras and I can’t think of many gym activities where a gartered vest top would be ideal!), but it is decidedly sportswear-inspired, with clean lines and sexy-but-practical silhouettes. It features stretch mesh, sparkly waistbands, and fabrics that are both antibacterial and quick drying.

Introducing Arabesque by Layla L’obatti

The dynamic duo behind Between the Sheets Lingerie, Layla and Josh, were recently featured on the Sundance Channel reality show, All on the Line, in which they were challenged to take their brand in a new direction by creating some ready to wear looks. The episode explored how Layla navigated this dare to depart from her roots and training in intimate apparel. We won’t reveal any more, but we will say that the episode did raise a few questions for us about how lingerie is viewed in the fashion industry. As lingerie enthusiasts, it is hard to hear that lingerie should just be a starting point for branching into ready to wear or that it is just a niche market. (It is a conversation we’d like to keep having, so head over to our Facebook page and keep it going or tweet us about your thoughts! We thought Lingerie Talk made some great points.)

In the meantime, we will reveal the amazing collection that resulted from that experience, Arabesque, but first, we wanted to congratulate Josh for being invited to the first ever fashion law bar committee of the New York City Bar Association! What an honor!

And now, Arabesque…

Arabesque, the latest addition to the Layla L’obatti collection, is stunning. Made of opulent, midnight blue silk paired with tea dyed lace and complemented by exquisite ivory cotton silk, each piece in the collection is inspired dually by the elegance and grace of a ballerina and the rich and vibrant culture of the Middle East. This video, featuring the lovely Susan Coffey, encapsulates that vision.

RICHPR Hosts ‘Enchanted’ Media Preview!

This boutique firm specializes in media outreach and does a phenomenal job of connecting the brands with the editors, reporters, writers, producers, fashion stylists and bloggers. RICHPR ensures that both up-and-coming as well as established brands get the exposure they deserve.

Owner and founder, Lauren Rich, and her team, are the epitome of professionalism, sophistication, and creativity! They recently hosted me, along with other media representatives, at a press preview for the Autumn/Winter 2011 collections for BRULEE, Affinitas, Parfait by Affinitas, Second Base, and Sassybax! No RICHPR preview would be complete without a theme and this time was no exception! The theme ‘Enchanted’ was carried out in every detail making for a magical experience. In this intimate setting, I was able to view the upcoming collections that you will be seeing in stores in just a few months. While nothing compares to seeing and feeling the luxurious laces, sensuous silks, and chic chiffons for yourself, I hope this footage will capture the essence of the loveliness that is to come in just a few months!
